The mince sticks to your fingers. The phone rings, someone shouts from the hall, and you're standing there with hands you can't touch anything with. When the tray is finally full, there are thirty meatballs there – some as big as golf balls, others barely larger than peas. The small ones burn while the large ones are still raw in the middle.
It's rarely the meatballs themselves that are the problem. It's the mess – and the fact that they're never the same size.

Bullebo™ forms the meatball for you
Bullebo is a two-part tool: a special scoop that forms the ball and a spoon that lifts it out. You press the scoop straight down into the mince so that an even ball is packed, and then lift it out with the spoon. The mince never has to touch your hands, and because the scoop holds the same amount every time, the balls will be the same size.
The same spoon works for mixed mince, beef mince, chicken mince, fish mince, and vegetarian balls made from lentils or chickpeas. It can also be used for melon balls, cookie dough, and ice cream.

Why uniform size matters
Meatballs of different sizes never cook at the same time. The small ones dry out and become hard while you wait for the large ones, which are still raw in the middle. With meatballs of the same size, the entire pan gets the same cooking time – you don't have to stand there checking, and you don't have to throw away the burnt ones.
It also makes portioning easy when cooking for several people: the same number of meatballs per person, every time.

How to use Bullebo™
- Press the tool into the mince. Press the special scoop straight down into the bowl of mince to form a meatball.
- Scoop up the formed meatball. Use the other spoon to gently lift the meatball from the rest of the mince.
- Gently lift it out of the bowl. Lift the finished meatball with the spoon.
- Place on a plate and cook. Meatballs can be boiled, fried, or oven-baked.
Dip the tools in cold water between balls – this makes the mince release more easily.

Frequently asked questions about the meatball spoon
Will the meatballs really be the same size?
Yes. The scoop holds the same amount of mince every time, so the differences will be small compared to rolling by hand.
Does the mince stick to the spoon?
Dip the scoop and spoon in cold water between balls. This is the same trick as when you roll by hand, and it's enough for most minces.
Does it work for vegetarian mince?
Yes, as long as the mixture holds together. Lentil balls, chickpea balls, and ready-made plant-based mince work well.
Is it dishwasher safe?
We recommend hand washing. It's quick, as the mince won't have time to dry on if you rinse the tools immediately.
How big are the meatballs?
The scoop produces a classic Swedish-style meatball – easy to cook through and just the right size for pasta, mashed potatoes, or as a side dish.
Less mess, less time at the stove
Meatballs should be everyday food, not a project. With Bullebo, the tray is filled in minutes, your hands are clean the whole way, and everything in the pan cooks at the same time.
